Finding the right therapist is crucial and many people, searching for a therapist for the first time, do not necessarily know what to look for. As a rule of thumb, it is a good idea to seek out someone who is qualified, and a member of or accredited by either the BACP or the UKCP, which are the main governing bodies of the profession.
